JOLIET, Ill. — A Joliet man allegedly stole $45,000 worth of reindeer Christmas decorations from a baseball stadium.
Victor Sessoms, 52, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 3900 block of Cedar Creek Drive on an arrest warrant for theft.
He allegedly stole three Christmas reindeer decorations valued at a total of $45,000 from the loading dock of Duly Health & Care Field, the home of the Slammers.
Prior to his arrest, the baseball team took to social media by saying a "Grinch" used two different trucks for the heist.
The reindeers were stolen ahead of the Glow Holiday Festival at the ballpark.
Sessoms is accused of scrapping the reindeer, which are made of aluminum.
He was released on a notice to appear at his next court date.
