LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – An impersonator attempted to fool a crowded nightclub at Wynn Encore Resort into believing he was pop star Justin Bieber. It worked for a few minutes.
According to TMZ, DJ Gryffin said he was working at the XS Nightclub on Saturday when he was told Bieber was in the club and wanted to make a surprise appearance.
A video posted on Gryffin's Instagram account shows the performance of a man in sunglasses and a hoodie, and the crowd going wild. It also shows the aftermath when Gryffin realized he was duped. He has since referred to the imposter as "bustin jeiber."
"And after 4 minutes and 27 seconds of what sounded just like Justin Bieber, I found out the worst news imaginable," Gryffin posted. "A dark venue and loud music didn't help."
"I kind of thought like, damn, he's put on a lot of weight," he said in the video.
"After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry," a representative for Wynn Resorts told TMZ.
